The Puppy Fund

Every working dog starts here

All of our working dogs have to start as puppies. Your donation to the puppy fund supports the needs of our prospective service and therapy dogs — veterinary necessities, food, training equipment and more. We find it essential to start our dogs on a solid foundation and value providing high quality things in all respective areas. Your donation gets the ball rolling and helps our puppies start off strong.

A general donation allows Hearts of Gold to direct your gift where it is needed most. These contributions help support training, veterinary care, equipment, program development, community outreach, and the everyday expenses that make our mission possible. Every gift, no matter the size, helps us raise, train, and place exceptional service and therapy dogs while continuing to build a program that creates meaningful, lasting partnerships.

  • $25 covers a puppy's first collar, leash, and starter kit.
  • $50 feeds a growing puppy for a month.
  • $100 covers a month of veterinary care and vaccinations.
  • $250 funds a full month of one dog's professional training.

Choose a dog or a fund on this page and give monthly — that's sponsorship in its current form. Named sponsorship packages are coming; monthly donors already receive the story of each placement as it happens.

Yes. Hearts of Gold Legacy Canines is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and donations are processed by Givebutter, which provides a receipt for your records.
